Religions are shared collections of beliefs that have been passed on from believers to converts, that are held by adherents to be actively meaningful and serious. There are many different kinds of religions that people actively follow all around the world. The most followed are Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. When associated with a religion, people do their best to apply it in their daily lives and to follow it according to its rules, which is usually inscribed in a sacred text. People usually practice their religion by either regularly attending a worship service, praying, or even meditating and practicing yoga. The interesting thing about religion is that it can be translated into stories that people can read and better understand the religion, which makes it easier to follow. There are also these systems of belief and codes of behavior that followers take very seriously, because it is usually interpreted as a life and death situation. Many people are impacted by religion every single day and it exists in every aspect in everyday life. There are works of art, literature, music, and even theatre. While religion can seem very comforting overall, there are some dangers about it. Religions establish boundaries, which are very sacred to many. If those boundaries are challenged, it can result in a conflict, which unfortunately in some cases, leads up to death. Regarding the future of religion, it will never go away; it has been around for hundreds of thousands of years. Many religions have expressed their own interpretations about what human life is worth and that is always what people are curious about, what their purpose on earth is.

I would consider myself a religious person. I believe in God and I also pray every single day. There are many situations that I have been in, and I have been taught by my family to always pray while in the midst of the situation, and that God would help me overcome it, and He will place me in a better predicament in the end. I do not forget where I came from. I remember those Sunday mornings in church, sitting and listening to my pastor preach a powerful sermon. I always felt like that the message that he was trying to convey to other people had hit me the most, I had felt chills go down my spine and continuously tried to apply it in my life. Although I am not perfect, I do fall short. But what I’ve learned is that the God I serve is a forgiving God, and that He loves me unconditionally. He has also blessed me with different talents and gifts that I could not be any more grateful to have. I have come a long way. If I did not take my religion seriously, I don’t know where I would be, but I know for a fact I would not be where I am now. My religion is very important to me. I grew up around people who faithfully attended church and bible study, and was actively engaged in any activities or events that had to do with the church. Although I had a very busy schedule now, and cannot attend church regularly, I do not forget to pray, read passages out of the Bible, and I even watch sermons online. I would not change my religion for anything in the world. Out of all the things that God has done for me and brought me out of, I would never see myself diverting myself away from Him.
